Lightning kills jobseeker

LIGHTNING struck and killed a 19-yea-old man of Siphofaneni on Sunday.
Mbongeni Mamba died on the spot, whilst four of his siblings were treated and discharged at Sithobela Health Centre. MP Gundvwane Gamedze said the five boys had gone to look for a job in one of the contractors in the area. He said on their way home, it started raining and the boys took cover under a tree not knowing that they were exposing themselves to more danger.
“We are appealing to members of the public to help the family in buying the coffin as the boy’s father is bedridden,” said the MP. Police Public Relations Officer Senior Superintendent Vusi Masuku confirmed the incident.
