SA Hijacked truck recovered at ngwenya

A horse and trailer truck that was stolen at gunpoint in South Africa has been recovered by the police in the country.
When the truck was spotted by police just after entering the Ngwenya Border Gate, the driver, who is suspected to have played a hand in stealing it, managed to run away.
He took to his heels whilst the truck was searched for border formalities at Oshoek.
He had already passed through the SA side.
The truck was stolen on Wednesday at Ermelo.
A border officer stated that it was around 10pm when the truck arrived at the border on Thursday, which is usually the busy hour.
“I guess he thought that he would not be noticed at around this time.”
Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Inspector Stephen Dlamini confirmed the incident.
He said the truck was in the custody of the police pending investigations.
