By Timothy Simelane - SWAZI OBSERVER-15-Sep-2009
ABOUT 60 Swazi entrepreneurs, sports personalities and culturalists will attend the World Culture and Sports Festival and the International Leadership Conference in Seoul, Korea on October 12.
The one-week conference will bring representatives from many nations together to dialogue on peace, culture, love, sports and leadership issues.
Charles Mbingo, the Corporate Affairs and Programmes Coordinator says the programme will feature sessions on topics related to the general theme as well as presentations on the core principles and programmes of the United Peace Federation (UPF).
"There is a growing awareness among people throughout the world of the urgent need for innovative vision and bold leadership if we are to resolve the critical issues of our time. “The ILC series addreses this need. During the course of the programme, we will consider the universal values and best practices that are necessary to create a world in which people of every region, race, nationality culture and religion live together in peace.
“We will consider the root cause of conflict and the ways we can move together beyond conflict, inequality and division towards reconciliation and prosperity as one family under God," the theme of the conference reads.
On this occasion, Father and Mother Moon, who went into the Guinness book of records for wedding hundreds of couples in one occasion, are inviting ILC participants to come as couples in the World Peace Blessing in support of the vision of strengthening marriages and families for the sake of peace.
