By Hlengiwe Ndlovu - SWAZI OBSERVER-10-Sep-2009
PRIME Minister Dr. Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini, who is also minister responsible for police, has sent condolences to the family of the late assistant commissioner of police, Levion Dlamini who was killed in a nasty car crash on Tuesday morning.
A press statement issued by government press secretary Macanjana Motsa states that Dlamini’s untimely demise is a tragedy not only to members of his family, children and relatives, but also to the entire Royal Swaziland Police, government and nation at large.
“His untimely demise is unfortunate, as he had been widely known for his hardworking and dedicated nature, a person who was caring to many, who had humility and contributed immensely to the police service.”
Dlamini’s 38 years of service to the police service has been described as a clear indication of his passion and dedication to serve the nation. The prime minister has encouraged the police to emulate the late assistant commissioner’s positive impact and dedication for the enhancement and growth of the police service.
“The grief and sorrow felt due to this loss should not in any way derail the good work and achievements of the police.” The PM reiterates his loss and that of government on Dlamini’s untimely death and said words seem inadequate to express this kind of adversity.
“As the Dlamini family grieves, always remember that the nation is with you in thoughts and prayer, and we pray that the love of God enfolds you during this journey through grief. We send you thoughts of comfort, and may the Almighty hand of God embrace and strengthen you in this period of sorrow
