Swaziland's Ngwenya Glass - This week on African Voices
I was wondering if this would be of interest to your readers: "African Voices meets glassblower Sibusiso Mhlanga, whose artistry has brought renown to the tiny mountain kingdom of Swaziland". http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/africanvoices/
Show times : Saturday 11:30 &17:30 (CAT) Sunday 11:00 (CAT) Monday 13:30 & 20:30 (CAT) Sibusiso Mhlanga took to the art of glassblowing quite naturally. Today, Mhlanga is the master glassblower at Ngwenya Glass in Swaziland. Some have even called him "arguably the best glass blower in the world." Mhlanga makes some of the most delicate and intricate shapes by doing what he calls "listening" to the glass: "Sometimes you may find that this is what you wanted to make right at the beginning, but as you work, it changes and you just have to follow it and listen to it." Please let me know if I can send any more info or images.
